Riverside Mill- Rent to Home Buy Apartments!


We are pleased to announce that we will shortly be advertising 39 new build apartments at Riverside Mill, Hemel Hempstead. There will be 16 one bedroom, 20 two bedroom and 3 three bedroom properties.

This development is different to the usual properties advertised on Moving With Dacorum. Please read through the relevant documents below so that you fully understand the scheme and commitments before placing a bid.

How does it work?
You will initially sign up to a fixed term Assured Shorthold Tenancy, with a break clause after six months. At any time, you can then apply to buy a percentage share in your home. The value of any purchase is set at the time of application and subject to financial
and credit checks.

Please note: when you buy a share, you become a Shared Owner so will be responsible for paying service charge and rent on the remaining percentage of your home.

• You will need to pay a security deposit equivalent to five weeks’ rent and service charge.

• You will need to pay your rent and service charge monthly in advance.

• Only people included on your application can live in your home.

• Bills are not included.

• Rent and service charges will be reviewed annually (but not within the first year of your tenancy).

You are still able to complete housing register applications and make changes to an existing application, but please bear with us if it takes longer than usual for us to respond. 


  •  If you have provided an email address on your application we will be sending any letters that would normally be posted to you by email instead.

  • If we need to speak directly with you we will continue to contact you on the numbers you have provided.
